Peapod

A NEW PATTERN! YAY! So I saw Toy Story 3 a little while ago and got hugely inspired to make my own peas in a pod (sans zipper, that's still pretty advanced for me!).

Making the pod was the most challenging part of this project but itallwentbetterthanexpected.jpg. I first figured out the size of the peas, lined them up on a sheet of paper, and drew roughly what the pod should be shaped like. It's good to go too large here, and I'm glad I did because the pod came out just a teeny bit snug, but they don't mind. It's like a cozy group hug to them.

My first 'pod is pretty standard fabric-wise but I've already got some ideas for mixing it up a bit.

The other plush aren't quite sure yet where peas fit into their society (yes, when you have triple digit plush you officially have a plush society in your house). Grubs can't figure out if peas are a single entity or three - peas do seem to do everything together. When bettas are being naughty they dump the peas out of the pod and wear the pod like a hat. And everyone loves to push the peapod and watch it roll!
